Artist Statement

 

Inspired by my visit to galleries in Rome, this work pays homage to the mastery of Bernini, Antonio Corradini’s Veiled Lady, and Giovanni Strazza’s Marble Veil. Their marble sculptures, where veils delicately trace the contours of the human form, blur the boundary between stone and softness. This piece continues that dialogue — exploring the tension between concealment and revelation, solidity and fragility.
